Product Description

This product contains Multiplication Grid Practice Sheets for 1x1-digit through 3x3-digit multiplication. The pages are formed over ¼” grid paper. Each page shows the structure of the standard algorithm allowing students to become comfortable with each step. The multiplication sign, zero position holders, and the addition sign have already been added. Blank ¼” grid/graph paper is included, which can transition students away from the shaded boxes structure and towards setting up the standard algorithm on their own.

The pages can be printed back-to-back. The front page has a place for your student's name and the date, and the back has a full page of computation problems. The blank grid paper can also be printed two-sided.

Standards:

MIMath.Content.5.NBT.B.5

Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.

MIK-12.Math.Practice.MP5

Use appropriate tools strategically.

MIMath.Content.3.OA.C.7

Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.

MIMath.Content.3.NBT.A.3

Multiply one-digit whole numbers by multiples of 10 in the range 10–90 (e.g., 9 × 80, 5 × 60) using strategies based on place value and properties of operations.

MIMath.Content.4.NBT.B.5

Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
