11 Bilateral Drawing Exercises (Cross-Brain-Eye-Hand Exercises)
Discover 11 engaging bilateral drawing exercises that challenge your brain and improve eye-hand coordination. These cross-brain-eye-hand exercises help train both sides of your brain to enhance your ability to track with both eyes, read, write, use spatial awareness when writing, and more!
Challenge yourself! Challenge your brain to draw with both hands.
Bilateral drawing exercises are exercises where both hands draw a set pattern at the same time. This helps train the brain to bridge back and forth between hemispheres. The ability to bridge both hemispheres is important because it allows the brain and body to process information smoothly and quickly and to be able to use the same-type movements or alternating movements during everyday tasks.
HOW TO: Start at the top by placing one pencil in each hand and place the point of the pencil on the first dot. Trace the pattern a few times. Then, moving both hands at the same time, draw the pattern between each dot. Move down each column until you get to the end. The pattern can be traced back to the top with pencils or with fingers.
These activities boost brain connection and are challenging the brain, eyes, and hands to work together better!
